¡Cuidado! Oilers Name Starting Goaltender For Cup Final

RALEIGH, N.C. – Oilers head coach Craig MacTavish announced this morning that injured goaltender Dwayne Roloson would be replaced by children’s entertainer Dora the Explorer.

The move addresses Edmonton’s goaltending woes and resolves the double-booking of Rexall Place on June 17.

Agent Ritch Winter praised the signing. “Dora is an adventurous, bilingual, Latina heroine who lives inside a computer,” he said from his Toronto office. “She’s a perfect fit for this hockey team.”

MacTavish spoke to the media prior to the team’s afternoon skate in Raleigh, North Carolina, and said he was persuaded by Dora’s unique approach to netminding.

“In each episode, Dora solves a problem based on specific words and phrases in conversational Spanish,” MacTavish offered. “Jus and Conks have worked hard on their game, but that’s not a skill set they bring to the table.”

As the father of a toddler I am quite familiar with Dora and can add that with the help of her pal, Map, she will be able to negotiate the "Icky-Sticky Sand" behind the Oilers' net.

Also Benny the Bull can help clear the front of the net.

And when they win they can do their little dance.

Awesome! This will also diffuse the "Curse of the Nina" that Dora was about to put on the Oil after being booted from Rexall.
