NFL Rankings: Wednesday November 2, 2005

A crazy week in football last week. The Eagles were demolished, as were the Redskins. Here's a question, though. Why did Andy Reid play McNabb versus the Broncos, when the is needed more against divisional rivals? Now it looks like McNabb AND Owens are questionable for the Sunday night game versus Washington. I just don't get it. Speaking of not getting it, how did Jacksonville lose to East St. Louis? Even more bizarre, how did the Bucs lose to the 49ers? Yikes.

I know the Chargers just won a big game, but they're still a .500 team at this point. Tough schedule aside, I couldn't justify putting them in the Top 5.

Of course, I might just be bitter because my fantasy team lost this week, thanks in large part to the huge numbers Gates put up for my opponent.

I see that Kimmis went with the Seahawks, which means this segment has officially jumped the shark. And no love still for the Falcons or the Panthers, who are both 5-2.

If the playoffs started today, this is how it would play out:

AFC
Colts
Bengals
Broncos
Patriots
Steelers
Chiefs

NFC
Falcons
Seahawks
Giants
Bears
Bucs
Panthers
