Abreu To Transform Jays?

There's no point trying to keep up with the rumours that fly during the winter meetings, but from these two rumours it's clear the Jays still have at least one more big deal they're working on. Either one would be fine by me; and if the team is really considering Abreu, then it's clear they're going to vault to a new level of competitiveness.
ESPN.com reported on Wednesday a swap of outfielders involving the Phillies' Bobby Abreu and Toronto's Vernon Wells had been discussed at the recent GM meetings and resumed this week.

Also, Brewers first baseman Lyle Overbay's name continues to be linked to the Jays. A deal that would see Toronto infielder-designated hitter Shea Hillenbrand and pitcher David Bush head to Milwaukee for Overbay is being discussed, ESPN.com reported.

Abreu won't go to the Jays, since the Phils are looking for a front of the rotation pitcher in return.

As for Overbay, I like that trade, but is he really a power bat, or just another .280/20/85 bat to stick into that lineup?
