A Plague On Both Your Houses

The discourse over at Battle of Alberta tonight reminded me of this famous Prologue:

Two hockey teams, both alike in dignity,
In fair Alberta, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal games of these two foes
A pair of life-long friends make their blog;
Whole misadventured piteous overtimes
Do with their sudden death bury their fans strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd rivalry,
And the continuance of their commenters’ rage,
Which, but their teams end, neither could remove,
Is now the steady traffic of their blog;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, their site shall strive to mend.

Man, that is sweet. We might have to put that up in our header or something.

Fun fact: Sacamano's parents had a record of the 1968 Romeo and Juliet that they apparently played so continuously that they were able to use their son as a party trick to recite vast tracts of the thing while hardly able to walk.

That reminds me. Olivia Hussey is seriously underrated.

Hussey is no Claire Danes, who I swear I could just stare at for the rest of my life. Between her and Portman, it's hard to find room in my life for my girlfriend.

Feel free to use any of it on your site.
