The Nation Vs. The Empire, Part I

The greatest rivalry in sports resumes today with the New York Yankees playing the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. As if the usual century long hatred wasn't enough, today's game is marked by the return of Captain Caveman, Johnny Damon, to Fenway. Now a member of the hated Yankees, you can expect the New England fans to pepper Damon with boos and even more egregious insults today. Personally, I think other Sox fans should join me in cheering George Steinbrenner for taking on that huge contract demand of Damon's agent, Scott Boras.

Once again, it appears that Sox fans are proving themselves to be creative insulters, with a bunch of t-shirts targeted towards Damon due to appear today. Here's hoping one equals the hilarity and distastefulness of previous gems like, "Jeter Has Aids", "Gay-Rod", and "Jeter Sucks, A-Rod Swallows".

Boston Dirt Dogs will have all the stories for all those not currently obsessed with NHL hockey.
