The Basketball Christmas
Today, December 7th, marks the birth of the Basketball Jesus, Larry Bird. He was born 50 years ago today in West Baden Springs, Indiana.
To celebrate, I give you two of his finest moments - the steal against the Detroit Pistons in the 1987 playoffs, and his McDonald's commercial with Michael Jordan.

Man, there are some killer Larry Bird tribute videos up on Youtube.
My favourite Larry Legend is when he told the X-man exactly what kind of shot he was going to take over his coconut in order to win the game -- and then doing it. Classic.
Hell of a trash talker, too.
The 3-point contest where he holds up his finger in celebration while waiting for the final ball to drop in is pretty awesome too.
