A Plague On Both Your Houses

Two hockey teams, both alike in dignity,
In fair Alberta, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal games of these two foes
A pair of life-long friends make their blog;
Whole misadventured piteous overtimes
Do with their sudden death bury their fans strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd rivalry,
And the continuance of their commenters’ rage,
Which, but their teams end, neither could remove,
Is now the steady traffic of their blog;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, their site shall strive to mend.

A big game between the Flames and the Oilers tonight. Calgary is in 4th place in the West, Edmonton is in 7th. Make sure to check out Battle of Alberta for all the action. The playful enmity there was my original inspiration for this piece. To talk trash, or not to talk trash? That is the question...
